Stronger Communities Programme Round 10 - Expressions of Interest Now Open!
Do you have a project that will make a positive difference in our community?
Community organisations across Oxley are invited to submit an Expression of Interest for funding through Round 10 of the Australian Government's Stronger Communities Programme.
The program provides funding for grassroots projects that bring people together, improve local facilities, and strengthen the communities we call home.
Whether it's upgrading community facilities, improving accessibility, purchasing equipment, creating more inclusive spaces, supporting environmental sustainability, or enhancing local sporting and recreational facilities, this funding may help bring your project to life.
Funding Available
- Grants between $2,500 and $20,000
- Projects with a total value of up to $50,000
- Up to 20 projects can be supported across the Oxley electorate
- Projects must be completed by 31 March 2028.
Who Can Submit an EOI?
Eligible not-for-profit organisations, community groups, sporting clubs, charities, volunteer organisations and other eligible entities with an ABN are encouraged to apply. Some unincorporated groups may also be able to participate through an eligible sponsoring organisation.
A Wide Range of Projects Are Eligible
The Stronger Communities Programme supports projects that deliver lasting benefits to local people and encourage community participation. Examples may include:
- Improvements to community halls and clubhouses
- Sporting and recreation facility upgrades
- Accessibility and inclusion projects
- Community equipment purchases
- Environmental and sustainability initiatives
- Shade structures and climate resilience projects
- Women's and family facilities
- First Nations cultural projects
- Technology and communications upgrades
- Defibrillators and community health equipment
Projects must align with the program guidelines and demonstrate a clear benefit to the local community.
Grant Application Guide
When applying for the Stronger Communities grant it is important to make sure that you have read through the Grant Opportunity Guidelines as this round is different from pervious funding rounds.
Please ensure your project meets:
- one of the Grant Objectives (See section 2, Grant Opportunity Guidelines) and
- one or more of the designated grant activities (See section 5.1, Grant Opportunity Guidelines).
If your proposed project doesn’t meet these criteria, it will be ineligable.
Assessment Process
Expressions of Interest will be considered through a local community consultation process. Following consultation, projects may be nominated for consideration under the programme. Successful nominees will then be invited by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources to submit a formal grant application. Final funding decisions are made by the Department and not the local electorate office. Submission of an EOI does not guarantee funding.
