The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing support for people with a disability in Australia and is now available for Ipswich and Brisbane residents.
To provide support for local residents who may have questions regarding the NDIS, I am hosting an information session in partnership with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) on Friday 28 September 2018 for people with a disability, their families, carers and community members.
Date Friday 28 September 2018
Time 10.00am-1.00pm
Location The Salvation Army Soundpoint Centre, 27 Smiths Road, Goodna.
Please visit www.miltondick.com.au/ndisforum to rsvp for this important community event.
This will be a great opportunity for local residents to get the latest information about the NDIS rollout and how to best access the care and services needed.
Once the rollout across Australia is complete, the NDIS will provide 460,000 Australians under the age of 65 with a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to live an ordinary life. This may include personal care and support, access to the community, therapy services and essential equipment.
I look forward to seeing many local residents there.
