SPRINGFIELD LEADERS TALK BUSINESS

Oxley MP Milton Dick and Labor’s Shadow Minister for Trade and Investment Jason Clare MP will today host the Springfield Business Leaders Lunch in conjunction with the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce at Brookwater Golf Club.

Mr Clare will address the meeting of business leaders followed by a discussion on increasing trade and export opportunities for Springfield.

Local member Milton Dick MP said the gathering of business leaders was significant for the growing region.

“Springfield is one of the fastest growing regions in the country and it’s important we support local businesses to see that growth continue”

“I’m proud to partner with the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce for this event and hear feedback and ideas directly from our local business community on how we can best support business in the region.”

Mr Clare said he looked forward to talking to local businesses about increasing export opportunities.

“By 2030 Asia will be home to 3 billion middle class consumers and this provides enormous opportunities for Australian businesses.

“Australian companies that export create more jobs than companies that don’t. They also make bigger profits and pay higher wages.

“I look forward to hearing from local business leaders about their challenges and ideas for improvement.”
