Chamber Set For Takeoff

14 November 2017

The Centenary and Districts Chamber of Commerce are inviting businesses throughout the region to attend their ‘re-launch’ event at The Lion Richlands on Wednesday 22 November from 6pm.

Supported by local Federal Member Milton Dick MP, the chamber expects a big turnout for what will be the start of a new chapter for the organisation.

Local Federal Member Milton Dick MP said it was an exciting time for the chamber and local businesses.

“The Centenary and Districts Chamber of Commerce has been a fantastic organisation in our community for a long time who do a tremendous job of supporting local businesses” said Mr Dick.

“We have almost 10,000 small businesses in our community who are the backbone of our local economy.

“Small business employs thousands of local residents and provides opportunities for many of our young people to land their first job.

“I’ve been proud to work closely with the chamber in the past and encourage all local businesses to come along and see what being a member of the chamber is all about”.

Centenary and Districts Chamber of Commerce President Keith Hamilton said the event would be a significant milestone to start the beginning of a new era for the chamber.

“We’re very excited to partner with Milton to re-launch the chamber and are looking forward to seeing many local businesses attend on the night” said Mr Hamilton.

“I’ve been a member of the chamber for over 20 years and have seen hundreds of businesses benefit from also being part of the chamber.

“We will have guest speakers on the night along with a complimentary drink for everyone who attends on the night.

“The chamber has a long history of supporting businesses in the region and we look forward to doing the same for any new members wishing to join.”
