Spirit of Anzac Award 2018

20 April 2018

It’s been a busy month for our community with lots of events, activities and announcements.

After a successful first year, I was pleased to launch the 2018 Oxley Spirit of Anzac Award. This competition is open to students in Year 11 to submit a short essay, poem or piece of artwork on what the spirit of Anzac means to them. Thank you to local RSL Sub Branches who have supported this awarded. The winner and 5 highly commended entries will be announced next month.

I’ve also been overwhelmed with entries for the first Oxley Easter Colouring In Competition for early childhood centres. This has been warmly embraced by children, parents and educators with dozens of colourful entries submitted.

Finally I was proud to host Federal Labor Leader Bill Shorten and Shadow Treasurer Chris Bowen in our community to announce new initiatives to support local businesses.

As always, if there is anything I can ever help with please email me at [email protected] or call my office on 3879 6440. I look forward to talking to you soon.
